Many donors find the creation of a scholarship fund within a community foundation the simplest and most cost effective alternative to a private fund.

By creating a Scholarship Fund, the Donor is able to define the scholarship’s guidelines for candidate selection and award use.  Donors may choose to fund scholarships which benefit a particular educational institution or field of study.  Scholarship Funds requirements may be as broad or narrow as the donor wishes to make them.
