Types of FundsDonors have many options for charitable giving; the main types are listed on our Types of Funds page, but you are only limited by your imagination. The Scranton Area Foundation funds are categorized as either Restricted Funds or Unrestricted Funds. Unrestricted Funds are essential for ensuring the Foundation's ability to meet the community's present and future needs. The Foundation's unrestricted "General Endowment" Fund consists of donations of all sizes on which the donors place NO RESTRICTIONS. These Funds are broken down by Fund Type. The Foundation is here to assist you in your efforts to give back to the community.
