Donor Designated Funds

Donor Designated funds are funds whereby the donor selects a recipient organization or a specific purpose for which the fund has been created.  The Fund’s income will be used to make grants to perpetually benefit one, or more, specific charities or organization.

Grants will be made in the name of the fund as long as the organization remains in operation and is consistent with its original charitable purpose. The Board of Governors regularly reviews the activities of designated charities to be sure the original intentions of the donor continue to be met.

If, over time, an agency benefiting from a donor designated fund goes out of business, becomes for-profit, or substantially alters its mission so that it no longer fits with the donor’s original intent, the Foundation Board of Governors will seek out alternate beneficiaries to ensure the donor’s original charitable goals continue to be met.
