Rachel Drazdowski, Esq. serves as the Director of Philanthropy at the Foundation. In this capacity, she works with donors to help them achieve their charitable objectives, serves as the liaison and provides coordination with the professional advisor council, manages the annual giving, planned giving, and major gift campaigns, and designs and drafts foundation communications, publications, and brochures. She is also responsible for grant-writing to generate funding for Foundation initiatives, and the reporting on the grant funding that is received. In collaboration with other members of the Foundation team, she plans Foundation events and assists in overseeing the operation of Women in Philanthropy. Finally, she acts as a co-chair for the Funding Opportunities and Leverage Points working group of the Equitable Transit Planning Council.
Rachel grew up in the Lackawanna County community, graduating from Riverside Junior Senior High School before going on to Lehigh University. She graduated from Lehigh with a B.A. in English and a minor in Political Science, earning English Departmental Honors and placement on the Dean’s List. A few years after graduating from Lehigh, she attended New York Law School and passed the New York and Pennsylvania Bar Exams after earning her JD. Outside of work, Rachel volunteers her time with Lackawanna Pro Bono, Lacawac Sanctuary’s Education Committee, and serves on the Riverside Vikings PTA Board.
