For the 2nd Straight Year, NEPA Match Day Exceeds $50,000 Goal!

The Scranton Area Community Foundation is proud to announce the success of the 2nd annual NEPA Match Day and, for the second year in a row, the generosity of the community far exceeded the $50,000 goal! In one day only, over $84,000 was raised to meet the needs of Lackawanna County nonprofit organizations.

NEPA Match Day was created by the Scranton Area Community Foundation, to help nonprofit organizations raise much needed funds. The Foundation provides a dollar for dollar match up to $1,000 to donors who contribute money on NEPA Match Day, which is held on the First Friday in May. On NEPA Match Day, the Foundation partnered with 25 area nonprofits to maximize one day of giving with the belief that when we work together, we are stronger.

The Scranton Area Community Foundation is honored to serve as a community partner to help raise awareness of what these wonderful organizations are doing. Our community nonprofits were chosen on a first come, first serve basis to the first 25 organizations that submitted completed applications. Thank you to everyone who helped to make the second year a success!
