Two local nonprofits, Leadership Lackawanna and Metro Action, have collaborated to offer a Winter Workshop Series dedicated to business growth and leadership in the Scranton region. As part of the series, Laura Ducceschi, President & CEO of the Scranton Area Foundation, will present a seminar entitled Strategic Corporate Citizenship: How to Create Shared Value on Thursday, February 18, 8:00-10:30 AM, at The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce located at 222 Mulberry Street in Scranton.
This workshop will cover what it means to be a corporate citizen, and how good citizenship is not only an investment in our community, but also in your brand. As companies are increasingly being looked to by society to lead the charge in finding solutions to current societal challenges, they must be much more aware of the impact they have on society and the concerns of community stakeholders. The importance of corporate citizenship to business leaders and professionals in our region, the key points on the road to good citizenship, and the impact of corporate citizenship on our community will be discussed.
The registration fee is $20 for the general public and $15 for Leadership Lackawanna Association members; the fee includes breakfast and the seminar and benefits Leadership Lackawanna. To register, please contact Karen at 570-342-7711, or visit www.scrantonchamber.com/events.
