#PhilanthropyFriday: Minooka Subaru Shares the Love and We Award a 65th Anniversary Mini-Grant

This week, we share the story of the Minooka Subaru Fund at the Scranton Area Community Foundation and award another 65th-anniversary mini-grant.

The team at Minooka Subaru recently presented the Scranton Area Community Foundation with a check in the amount of $45,899 which comes from their recent Share the Love® event. Through the Share the Love® event, the Scranton Area Community Foundation was selected as the hometown charity, and Minooka Subaru donated $250 for every new Subaru vehicle purchased or leased at its location during the annual event.

The Minooka Subaru Fund at the Scranton Area Community Foundation was established by Minooka Subaru in 2018 to support charitable causes in the Lackawanna County region.

“The Scranton Area Community Foundation is grateful to be chosen as the hometown charity partner for the Minooka Subaru Share the Love® event. This partnership will allow charitable resources to be spread across the region as we fulfill our mission by responding locally to a variety of community needs,”  says Laura Ducceschi, Scranton Area Community Foundation President and CEO.

We want to honor and celebrate Minooka Subaru’s generosity in allowing us to share their story by awarding our seventh 65th Anniversary Mini-Grant to an organization of their choice. In honor of our sapphire anniversary and to celebrate the loyalty of our donors and the prosperity that their generosity makes possible, we are awarding mini-grants in honor of our donors who are making a difference and who share their stories with us. Minooka Subaru has chosen to support Keystone Mission through this $650 mini-grant opportunity.

We would like to recognize that our work at the Foundation would not be possible if it weren’t for the generosity of our many charitable donors, like Minooka Subaru.

If you would like to SHARE YOUR STORY with us, we would love to hear it! Simply fill out our form online.

Up to $10,000 will be awarded in 2019 through the 65th-anniversary mini-grants opportunity, funded by the Scranton Area Community Foundation.
